Four Atlanta Women Honored as Bridge Builders
AOn Thursday, April 17, the Atlanta Technical College Foundation (ATCF) recognized four influential women for their work to connect citizens of the region to resources that will enhance individual and collective quality of life at the 13th Annual Bridge Builder Awards. Mary Brock, Co-Owner of the Atlanta Dream; Cheryl Lomax, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Bank of America; and Erica Qualls, General Manager, the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, were named “Bridge Builders” during the event. Karyn Greer, Anchor, The Networks of 11Alive, was presented with the President’s Award which is the highest honor bestowed by Atlanta Technical College.

Atlanta Technical College President Alvetta Peterman Thomas shared, “The Bridge Builder Awards allows us to recognize members of the business community, who through their visionary and creative contributions, greatly enrich the quality of life, opportunities for education, and access to resources. We are pleased to recognize the hard work and dedication of these honorees.”
Held at the Foundry at Puritan Mill, the event grossed more than $105,000 that will be used to support student and faculty scholarships and programs at Atlanta Technical College.
The ATCF has hosted the Bridge Builder Awards since 2001. Former honorees have included: Ann Cramer, IBM; Ingrid Saunders Jones, The Coca-Cola Company; Dr. Julie Gerberding , The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Curley Dossman, Georgia-Pacific Foundation; Tad Hutcheson, Delta Airlines and Jackie Parker, Newell Rubbermaid.
