Clayton County Rotary Club Awards Scholarships to Two
Atlanta Technical College Students
On May 22, the Clayton County Rotary Club presented two Atlanta Technical College (ATC) students with 2013 Technical College Scholarships. Veronica Bass, a marketing management student, and Benita Stewart, a dental hygiene student, each received scholarships in the amount of $500 to help cover college expenses. In addition to the scholarships, the Clayton County Rotary Club donated $160 to the Atlanta Technical College Foundation.

Rotary International has been a long-time supporter of Atlanta Technical College. Rotarians serve as judges for the school’s annual Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership competition and serve as community advocates for technical education. Earlier this year, the Rotary Club of West End Atlanta arranged for Robbie Howard, Atlanta Technical College pharmacy technology program chair, to participate in the four-week Group Study Exchange trip to Taiwan to observe Asian educational, healthcare, and workforce development systems.
