Atlanta Tech inducts 115 students into National Technical Honor Society

Atlanta Technical College inducted 115 students into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during the Spring Induction Ceremony on May 5.

The purpose of NTHS is to bring well deserved recognition, scholarship opportunities, and career opportunities to students who excel in one of the 108 career and technical educational fields. Not only do NTHS students embody all the attributes and talent which is in demand today, these students also embrace a clear vision for tomorrow’s workforce and their role in it.

This prestigious recognition is only open to students nominated by an instructor, who are in good standing with the college, and have achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher.

During the ceremony, the inductees recite the NTHS pledge and to commit to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct and to strive for excellence in all aspects of their education while upholding their obligations as citizens of their community and country.

NTHS members qualify for scholarship opportunities offered by the national organization and are provided with purple and white honor cords to wear during commencement. Local, national and regional offices of NTHS can provide letters of recommendations for member, which can be shared with potential employers. Induction into the honor society is America’s foremost scholastic honor for excellence in workforce education.
