The third annual Atlanta Tech Student Film Festival will be held May 25 in the Dennard Center Ballroom. Doors will open at 6pm, and the event is free and open to the public. “We have industry leaders making our selections again this year,” said Design & Media Department Chair Britt Pitre.
The A. B. Cooper and Patrice Coleman Awards will be presented to deserving students at the film festival. A. B. Cooper was the first African-American to work for the Georgia Film Office. Patrice Coleman, a graduate of Atlanta Technical College and Spelman College, is an internationally-known, award-winning makeup artist. She was honored recently at the Atlanta Technical College Foundation’s Bridge Builder Awards.
