Atlanta Tech’s Design & Media production Technology students are working with the 6th Annual Trinity Awards, a program that recognizes ordinary people doing extraordinary things. The intermediate video editing class will edit a series of 60-second videos showcasing the non-profit organizations that are nominees for the 2017 Trinity Awards. Pictured L-R are President Victoria Seals, Design & Media student Christopher Eubanks and Department Chair Britt Pitre.
“Our students will receive credit for editing the videos and will receive tickets to the event,” said Britt Pitre, Design & Media Chair and 2017 Teacher of the Year. “The finished videos will air on Atlanta Channel 57.”
The edited videos will serve as the students’ final projects for the class. Sandi Pruitt, a non-profit consultant, gave the students the opportunity to work on the project.
The Trinity Awards support and encourage small nonprofit visionaries and outstanding volunteers. Past recipients include The Well, Inc., a school that trains young adults as community missionaries, and the Youth Group Initiative, an organization established to educate teens in the community.
