Atlanta Technical College has been selected as the Georgia Career Preparedness Award recipient for the ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign. Director of Career Services Michael Burnside submitted the college for the award. “The campaign recognizes outstanding efforts by students and institutions in career placement,” Burnside said. “I knew we were exemplary.”
ACT recognizes individuals and organizations who are making a positive impact on their communities through their efforts to advance college and career readiness. Established in 2013, the annual ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign celebrates achievement and creates awareness around the goal of college and career readiness for all.
The campaign recognizes extraordinary efforts by employers, postsecondary institutions, high schools, and students in participating states. From here, state exemplars move into semifinalist and national exemplar rounds of review. As a state winner, Atlanta Technical College moves into this final round of review. State exemplars and semifinalists will be honored at an ACT event in October.
