Horizons Atlanta, a six-week summer learning camp, kicked off today at Atlanta Technical College. The camp combines academics with sports, arts, and cultural learning for young people in the first through fourth grades.
Today students learned about different types of music, from Hip Hop to R & B. The camp, located in the Brenda Watts Jones Allied Health Building, continues through July 14.
For four years, Horizons Atlanta has provided its students with high-quality programs outside of the traditional school year, to support academic achievement and healthy youth development. It is a transformational, community-centered, summer learning program proven to close the opportunity gap.
