The National Center for Competency Testing, an independent credentialing organization that has tested healthcare professionals and instructors in the United States since 1989, has validated the eligibility of Atlanta Technical College graduates of the Medical Assisting program. In a letter to the college, the center acknowledged that ATC Medical Assisting grads were eligible to take the certification exams for:
-National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
-National Certified ECG Technician (NCET)
-National Certified Medical Office Assistant (NCMOA)
-National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT)
The validation of eligibility is based upon review and verification of state regulatory agency approval level, or current institutional or programmatic accreditation status, and program eligibility application.
