Atlanta Tech students win at International DECA competition in Utah
Lewis, Harmon and Anderson place first in the Culinary Management Institute
Atlanta Technical College students took high honors at the DECA 2012 International Career Development Conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 21-21. Seventeen students from the college joined nearly 1,200 of their peers from the U.S. and Canada in leadership development workshops and skills competitions.
An Atlanta Technical College (ATC) team comprised of culinary students Diane Lewis, Kenneth Harmon, and Abigail Anderson, won first place in the Culinary Management Institute. Paralegal studies students Monica Morris and Dorothy Kirk teamed up to capture second place in the Business Ethics category. LaShanta Sanders was a finalist in Sales Management Meeting and the team of Bobby Lucas, Darlene Watson, and Irvin Gregory placed in the top 10 in Financial Analysis Statement Team.

All of the students qualified for the International Conference by first capturing the top honor in their respective categories during the state competition which was held in Valdosta, Georgia, February 10-12.
