Atlanta Tech International Exchange Delegates Selected

The Halle Exchange Program is a reciprocal international exchange program between Atlanta Technical College (ATC) and Felix-Fechenbach Berufskolleg in Detmold, Germany. The partnership was officially established on September 28, 1998, with the signing of an agreement to begin formally a program that exposes its participants to a range of family living experiences typical of the American and German cultures. The program aims to foster awareness of and appreciation for cultural practices and values; engage students and instructional staff in dialogue on the differences in the two educational systems; introduce educational and cultural sites to the exchange participants; examine the influence of cultural, language, management, and learning styles on productivity and efficiency in team building and on various workplace sites; and examine the differences in workplace expectations in Germany and the US.

ATC is pleased to announce that its delegation for the 2014 Halle Exchange has been selected. Thirteen students and two faculty members will travel to Detmold and participate in the exchange from September 6, 2014 to September 20, 2014. The delegation will be joined by Mr. Adam Ferrando, global initiatives project manager, and Ingrid Galinat-Garcia, coordinator of international students and global initiatives.
