Atlanta Technical College hosts open houses to expose Atlanta residents to health and public safety careers
Atlanta Technical College celebrated the addition of seven new health and safety programs by hosting community open houses on June 14 and 16. More than 100 people attended the open houses and were able to tour the new Brenda Watts Jones Allied Health and Technology Complex, meet with program coordinators and learn about the new educational programs.
Beginning August 2012, Atlanta Technical College will offer: associate degree nursing, criminal justice, bioscience technology, surgical technology, dental hygiene, physical therapist assistant and radiologic technology. These programs coupled with existing offerings in fire science technology, health information technology, pharmacy technology, dental Assisting, medical assisting, paramedicine, practical nursing, dental laboratory technology, health information coding, emergency medical technician, firefighting, health care science, patient care assistant, pharmacy assistant, phlebotomy technician, and hemodialysis patient care specialist; will prepare Georgians for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
