How do I locate a magazine, journal and/or newspaper?

Physical copies of some magazines, journals and newspapers are located alphabetically in the library. To find more magazines, journals and/or newspapers use GALILEO at this web site www.galileo.usg.edu/. GALILEO is a database that contains electronic copies of magazines, journals and newspapers.

GALILEO On Campus Access: Once in GALILEO, select a subject from the list or click on one of the yellow tabs at the top. (i.e. Browse by Type, Databases A-Z, Journals A-Z or Search).

GALILEO Off Campus Access: Once in GALILEO, you must use the quarterly password for access. Enter the quarterly password into the “Log in with GALILEO password” box. Click on “GO”. Now you can access GALILEO. Select a subject from the list or click on one of the yellow tabs at the top. What is GALILEO?

GALILEO is primarily a collection of databases that contain electronic copies of abstracts, articles and reports from a variety of periodicals, magazines, journals and newspapers. There are about 250 databases that cover several subjects. Some articles in GALILEO are full-text. GALILEO also provides links to Internet Resources and other Georgia libraries' catalogs.
