Atlanta Tech Continuing Education Offers Courses That Lead to Careers & Personal Enrichment
The ABCs of Acting, facilitated by Dennis L. A. White, helps participants learn the basics of acting for film and television, the process of auditioning, set decorum, and how to secure representation in the industry. White has appeared in the films Notorious and The Brave One and on the NBC television show Parenthood.
Cost: $199 + $4 student insurance fee
Jewelry Making & Designing Program, facilitated by Vangerlin Bolde, helps students to express their unique style through jewelry making & designing. She also gives information on the proper jewelry making tools and how to do beading. Participants will learn how to make a pair of earrings or bracelets using crystals, beads, or natural stones.
OSHA 10-Hour Training is taught by George Harris. Course objectives include understanding general industry worker rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Participants also will learn how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job related hazards.
OSHA 30-Hour Training is facilitated by George Harris. The 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. The training does not cover OSHA standards or replace any essential job-specific safety training required by your employer.
Painting for Beginners, led by Derrick Bryant, is a basic painting course for everyone. Bryant explores fundamental painting practices with emphasis on individual growth. Students will learn the color wheel, depth within the painting, and work on individual paintings. No previous art experience is necessary.
