Office of Student Services

The Office of Student Services is dedicated to supporting students throughout their educational journey by providing access to essential resources, programs, and support systems. Our goal is to promote student success by addressing life, personal, and social needs in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

We offer a wide range of services, including connections to campus and community resources. Through these efforts, we aim to help students stay informed, engaged, and prepared to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Student Services is here to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed—both inside and outside the classroom.

Student Services & Support

Student Accommodations

The Office of Student Services is committed to ensuring equal access to educational opportunities for students with disabilities. We work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to provide reasonable accommodations that support academic success and promote an inclusive learning environment.

Documentation Requirements

While high school IEPs and 504 Plans can provide helpful background information, Atlanta Technical College cannot use these documents alone to determine eligibility for academic accommodations. Students requesting accommodations must provide supporting documentation from an appropriate medical or mental health professional to the Office of Student Services.

Special Populations

Special Populations Services provide personalized support to help students successfully balance their educational, work, and personal commitments. By partnering with the Special Populations Coordinator, students can access resources, receive guidance, and develop strategies that promote academic success, career readiness, and goal attainment.

Services are available to eligible students who self-identify with one or more of the following populations:

  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Students from economically disadvantaged families
  • Homeless students
  • Students in foster care
  • Single parents and pregnant women
  • Out-of-workforce individuals
  • Individuals preparing for nontraditional fields

Veteran Services

Atlanta Technical College is dedicated to supporting the educational success of military-affiliated students, including veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, spouses, and dependents.

We offer information and support regarding GI Bill® benefits, tuition assistance programs, and other educational resources available to military-connected students. Recognizing the unique experiences and needs of those who have served or are connected to military service, we strive to create a welcoming environment and ensure a smooth transition into college life and beyond.
